To avoid any complications of going to Northern California and through Yosemite national park, we have re-thought and planned a new route for our trip. We will now be covering most of the northern and eastern parts of Arizona. Itinerary is as follows:
The Grand Canyon, with stops in marble canyon and horseshoe bend. Page,AZ. Monument valley. Four corners, chinle,az(canyon de chelly), and show low.
This brings the trip to half of the mileage, and shorter distances between destinations. With the clock ticking, some of us are still getting our bikes prepped and road ready, and this being a shorter route, it makes it a little less stressful on both ourselves and bikes. It also decreases mileage away from Phoenix in case anything happens to one of our bikes.
We will still be departing on Friday October 2, and planning on returning Saturday October 10th. We started a booster campaign to help raise/donate money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with a simple shirt design. Check out booster.com/thirtyontwo for all the info. We will be joining a pre existing Cf benefit party on Saturday the 10th in Scottsdale at boondocks patio as part of a homecoming event. In hopes of selling enough shirts to get them printed, we will have them in time for the benefit event!
