Cottonwood/Jerome day trip.

Doing a “quick” chain adjustment in the morning before we left set us back a bit, we were still able to leave before the sun became too intolerable.

We saw this modified VW van on the way up at a gas station, I had to document it. Turns out there was a VW van convention/rally up in Jerome. We also missed that event.

While we were in cottonwood, there wasn’t anything going on since we missed Thunder Rally completely by a day, so we stopped at a 2 acre antique store that we could have easily got lost in for a day or two.

While we were in Jerome, we learned of a ghost town called Gold King Mine.

Despite having some minor carb issues on the way back to Phoenix, our day trip up was a successful one. Two weeks until our Az state trip, and the pressure is building even higher with both of my bikes needing some minor repair and parts. Whichever one I end up taking, it’s just a matter of which one is less likely to break down or cause me less headaches.
